A clogged or closed valve may lead to high pressure in your engine, a blown gasket, oil leaks, high-pitched noises, unwanted engine moisture, or buggy sensors. If a PCV Valve becomes damaged, it can lead to issues in your engine. Lastly, the gasses are expelled into the air as a less-damaging exhaust. Once they enter the combustion chamber, the gases are burned. Instead of allowing harmful gasses to get into your engine and create sludge that can ruin your INFINITI, the PCV Valve gives the gases a place to escape. ![]() When fuel is burned within the engine, the motor oil in the crankcase creates emissions that are toxic to the interior of your INFINITI's engine and the earth. ![]() The valve connects to the crankcase, which carries engine oil.
